Meet Holly G. Green: Consultant, author, speaker, entrepreneur, business leader, mom

As CEO and Managing Director of THE HUMAN FACTOR, Inc., Holly helps business leaders and their companies achieve excellence. An experienced business leader and behavioral scientist, Holly has a rare combination of extensive academic training and in-the-trenches experience working in and leading organizations. As president of The Ken Blanchard Company, she led the established company in a new and more focused strategic direction. As president of LumMed, she helped launch the startup biotech firm.

As a consultant, Holly is frequently hired by companies such as Microsoft, Expedia, Nokia, Edwards LifeSciences, Hilton Worldwide, and Google to help them compete more effectively in today’s uncertain markets. Leveraging her post graduate studies in neurophysiology, Holly is passionate about exploring and making better use of the way our brains work the way they work at work. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences and a Master of Science degree in organization development from American University in Washington, D.C. She is an adjunct professor at Webster University, teaching courses in the graduate program. She also teaches in the executive education program at San Diego State University, and is the founder of the Management Development Institute offered there.

Holly’s top selling book, More Than a Minute: How to be an Effective Leader & Manager in Today’s Changing World (printed in nine languages and distributed globally) goes beyond the theory of leading and managing by providing practical, action-oriented information. Holly has contributed to two other best-selling books, Shift Happens, and A Cup of Cappuccino, Vol. II.

Holly is a board member of Total Training, Inc., the San Diego Employer Association, and KBM Facility Solutions, as well as the Chairmen’s Roundtable, a nonprofit organization of senior executives providing pro bono strategic advice to mid-sized businesses. She serves as a mentor in California State University’s Center for Leadership and Mentoring. She also provides strategic advice and guidance to several 501(c)3 organizations.
