“USING YOUR BRAIN TO WIN” IS NOW ON SALE

Author Holly G. Green’s latest book, “Using Your Brain to Win” has just hit store shelves.

DENVER, Colorado. June 29, 2013 – Author of the best-selling book, “More Than a Minute: How to be an effective leader and manager in today’s changing world”, Holly G. Green, has just released her latest work, “Using Your Brain to Win in today’s hyper-paced world.” In this sure-to-be fan favorite, Green gives you an in-depth look at how to use your brain to become a more effective leader and help your organization win!

Green appreciates the power of the brain and knows what an amazing tool it can be. Yet she is also well aware, through her years of experience working with a multitude of businesses, that many of its built-in thought patterns and ways of working do not serve business leaders well.

In fact, the brain has a tendency to see what it expects to see, overlook data that contradicts its prevailing view of the world, and have greater confidence in its decision-making abilities than it should. In order to become more effective leaders, we need a much deeper understanding of how our brain works and how it often gets in the way of winning.

This is exactly what “Using Your Brain to Win” does. It is a fast, fun read that will change the way you think about what you think. Moreover, each chapter includes numerous “Playing with Your Brain” exercises to embed these important learning points into your daily routine.

  2. I was at NYS IT Leadership last week and listening to your presentation, it made me think of when I bowl in competition what causes good shots and bad shots. On good shots the mind is focused on all the components of the shot and doesn’t wander to random thoughts that have nothing to do with bowling. I need that clear mind and only focused on the task at hand.

I wrote down all the things that caused bad shots. Then tried to focus on what makes good shots. In a tournament this weekend it really helped. Did not elimiate all bad shots but the focus on the task at hand was much better.

So yea I plan to but the book

    • My only suggestion would be to let go of analyzing bad shots. Your brain won’t easily distinguish the good from the bad. Keep focusing on the components of a good shot, and that is where the brain will go.
